Our story
OliveStone is a studio dedicated to hand-carved olive-pit art, working with independent artisans to bring you one-of-a-kind bracelets, pendants, and display sculptures.
Every piece is hand-carved from a single olive pit, making each item unique in grain, form, and character. No two are ever alike.
The process
From pit to piece
Five unhurried stages. Weeks of work. One olive pit at a time.
Selecting the pit
Only dense, evenly grained olive pits make the cut — fewer than one in ten.
Sketching the vision
The artisan reads the pit's natural shape and plans the scene around it.
Carving by hand
Dozens of hours with traditional knives and awls, often under magnification.
Sanding & refining
Fine-grit sanding brings out the grain without softening the detail.
Oiling & polishing
Natural oils deepen the color and protect the piece for generations.
